This is a list to help me remember what I liked so when I walk into my neighborhood liquor store (which isn’t actually in my neighborhood, but is close enough), I can show them my running list, and they can recommend new wines that I might enjoy. Because real, live people are better than algorithms.

We drink mainly in the $15-25/bottle category (though a few of these listed are outside of that range…), so if you’re looking for super-fancy wine recommendations, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Also, if you’re looking for actual reviews and entertaining wine commentary, skip this list and instead pay a visit to Conrad over at The Wine Wankers (g’day!).

And yes, I would have a “Better with Chocolate” page, too; but I haven’t ever met dark chocolate that I didn’t like, so there’s no point keeping a list.

New note, December 2021: Tennessee’s excessive restrictions on DTC wine shipments notwithstanding, I’m finally giving Naked Wines a try. (Why not?) I will link to those wines for the curious. But know that most of the wines on the list came, and will come, from Joe’s in Memphis.
