Food worth the effort

Bernard brought home a cooler full of turnip greens, freshly picked from his friend Bobby’s garden. Five washings. Salted pork broth. Stemming the greens. Adding a few handfuls at a time until they started to cook down. Simmer time. 4 hours round-trip, and totally worth the effort.
